Hi, I'm flying with Cathay to Taipei from Stockholm, and changing in London and Hong Kong. I chose Cathay over China Airlines even though they are just a little bit more expensive (at least when I wanted to travel). Mostly since I know it is a really good airline, and I also wanted the personal entertainment since I have problems sleeping on planes. Although with China Airlines you can go straight to Taipei from Amsterdam, so it depends what you value the highest. (I also had my eyes on Air China, which have gotten very mixed reviews, but they have new aircrafts now on the long haul flights and seems to be getting nicer.)
